The exhibition offers a series of original textile works made both with personal techniques and with techniques typical of quilting and textile art. The seams are made both by hand and by machine.
Fabrics, threads and materials such as silk, cotton, linen, wool and polyester are used. Waste and recycled materials are often present.
Underlying theme: the thread that unites, mends and repairs, creates links with one’s past and the territory, forms textures and textile compositions that become a metaphor for life. Often this thread gets tangled or broken but then resumes its path.
